Sons of Confederate Veterans
The Sons of Confederate Veterans is preserving the
history and legacy of those who served the Southern
Cause in the Civil War. The SCV is the direct heir of
the United Confederate Veterans, and the oldest
hereditary organization for male descendants of
Confederate soldiers. Organized at Richmond, Virginia,
in 1896, the SCV continues to serve as a historical,
patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to
insuring that the history of the 1861-1865 period is

Sons of the American Revolution
The National Society of the Sons of the American
Revolution was organized April 30, 1889, and was
incorporated by Act of Congress of the United States of
America on June 9, 1906. The Society's objectives are
declared to be patriotic, historical and educational.

Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims
The Society of The Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims
was organized in 1908, by Thomas W. Bicknell to
perpetuate the memory and to foster and promote the
principles and virtues of the Pilgrims. Pilgrims are
identified as those who settled in the United States of

National Society of Sons of the American Colonists
The Society was reorganized in 1986 to replace the
predecessor organization of the same name that was
established in the mid-1950s. Membership is open to
individuals providing proof of lineal descent from an
ancestor who rendered civil or military service in any
of the Colonies in America before July 4, 1776.

Continental Society Sons of Indian Wars
The Society was organized in 1987 to assist and
encourage the preservation of records and historic sites
associated with our Native and Immigrant American
ancestors. Membership is limited to male descendants of
Native and/or Immigrant Americans who participated, in
any capacity, in actual hostilities, one against the
other, at any time during the period 1607-1900.

National Huguenot Society
Membership in the National Huguenot Society is open to
anyone of the Protestant faith who adheres to the
Huguenot principles of Faith and Liberty, and is
lineally descended in the male or female line from: (1)
A Huguenot without regard to ethnic origin or particular
sect of the Protestant faith, who subsequent to December
10, 1520, and who, prior to the promulgation to the
Edict of Toleration, November 28, 1787, emigrated from
France to America of other Country, or; (2) A Huguenot
who, in spite of religious persecution, remained in

Magna Charta Dames and Barons
The National Society Magna Charta Dames and Barons was
instituted at the Capitol of the United States in 1909.
The Heinemans are descended from eight of the Sureties:
Roger Bigod, Earl of Norfolk; Hugh Bigod, Earl of
Norfolk's heir; Richard de Clare, Earl of Hertford;
Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Hertford's heir; John

Colonial Order of The Crown
The Colonial Order of The Crown is a royal pedigree
society for descendants of the Emperor Charlemagne.
Instituted in 1890, the order perpetuates the memory of
Charlemagne, Emperor of the West, and of the exemplary
men who fought with him, ancestors of the members of the
Society, promotes good fellowship among Charlemagne's
descendants, and inspires the members of the order and
others with admiration and respect for the noble example
set forth by those who in their duty so strongly stood
for the right.

The Sovereign Colonial Society Americans of Royal
Descent
The Society was instituted in 1867 reorganized in 1883
and reactivated in 1930. The Society embraces
descendants of all the royal houses, medieval and
modern. A principal aim of the Society is to collate
the lines of descent of those colonial emigrants who
were of royal lineage and who are now represented by men
and women seeking to honor the names and noble deeds of
their ancestors by preserving their pedigrees.

Society of Descendants of Knights of the Most Noble
Order of the Garter
The Society was organized in 1929 for encouraging the
restoration of the Garter Chapel (St. George’s) at
Windsor Castle and the preservation of family descents.
Membership to the Society is by invitation only to
individuals having an ancestor who was a Companion of
the Order of the Garter.

Plantagenet Society
King Henry I of England in despair over the loss of
William, his only son, sought the aid of Geoffrey
Plantagenet and personally invested him with the Order
of Knighthood. Approving the marriage of his daughter,
Matilda, with Geoffrey, on April 3, 1127. Membership in
the Society is by invitation only to those who are
descended from Geoffrey Plantagenet and his wife
Matilda.
