Isle of Hoy

Hoy (from Old Norse Hey meaning high island) is one of the Orkney Islands in Scotland.  It is the second largest of the Orkney Islands after the Mainland.  The dramatic coastline of Hoy is what usually greets visitors traveling to the Orkney Islands by ferry from the Scottish mainland.   In Norse mythology, Hoy is the location of the never-ending battle between Hedin and Hgni.

Glenna MacKay-Johnstone is a Piper, singer and composer with the 78th Fraziers.  She is the daughter of Reay MacKay (PM of the 48th Highlanders - Canada).
